Meditation for beginners, 5 practical steps

Meditation for beginners can seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be! Here are 5 practical steps to get you started on your journey to mindfulness: 



1. Find a comfortable place to sit - whether it's a chair, cushion, or the floor, make sure you're comfortable enough to sit still for a few minutes. 



2. Set a timer - it can be as short as 5 minutes to begin with, and work up to longer periods if you'd like. 



3. Take a few deep breaths - focus on the breath moving in and out of your body, and let any other thoughts drift away. 



4. Observe your thoughts - don't try to control them, just acknowledge them and let them go. 



5. Finish with a few more deep breaths - take your time and savour the feeling of relaxation. Meditation can be a great way to reduce stress and increase focus. With regular practice, you'll be able to experience the peace and calm that comes with mindful living. Good luck on your journey!
